In 2005 readers of Condé Nast Traveller voted for this resort’s Thalasso Centre as one of the 10 best in Europe.It is an amazing place, where you can experience relaxation, beauty treatments and well-being as never before.An aerial view gives an idea as to just how water-based this hospitable paradise is – there are vast stretches of turquoise-blue pools surrounded by emerald-green gardens in which stands a lovely, low-rise hotel village which, though large, manages to have plenty of secluded corners. The architecture carefully reflects the colours and beauty of the environment. The result is lovely.

Of the hotel’s rooms 97 have direct access to the thalasso/spa and 37 deluxe suites have recently been renovated. Amongst the magnificent facilities are several bars, restaurants and a nightclub – all require appropriate dress in the evenings. Heraklion and Aghios Nikolaos can be reached by daily bus services and there is free hotel transport to and from Hersonissos once a day.
