Right on the sea front in the small 'oasis' resort of Costa Calma the recently built H10 Playa Esmeralda hotel has glorious views over Sotavento beach and is designed to blend in with its surroundings. It offers a relaxing and peaceful environment surrounded by white sands and so makes an excellent family resort hotel with lots of facilities.

The public areas have a Moorish design theme throughout and the hotel's low-rise design and higgledy-piggledy layout disguises its size. Built on a small hill, it is a downhill walk to the beach, which is reached without crossing a road. As the last hotel in the resort there is no development beyond just endless beach - dunes that reach virtually all 32 km to the southern tip of Jandia! It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the bars and restaurants in the town centre.
