The Gran Meliá Volcán Hotel , Lanzarote is designed in the style of a typical southern village on the island and has picturesque and peaceful squares with patios, fountains and quiet corners. The volcano-like central building of this amazing hotel is visible from afar, and in keeping with the landscape.

It overlooks the Rubicón Marina on the eastern side of this developing resort. The hotel is entered via a church that is a replica of the Madonna of Guadalupe in Teguise. From here guests reach the centre of the ‘village’, the volcano, which houses the reception, bars, boutiques and meeting rooms.

Various pools and restaurants are complemented by a gym, squash court and spa with beauty and hairdressing salons. Shows and dancing to live music in the disco-bar Los Jameos should keep you entertained at night. The little fishing port of Playa Blanca (and Fuerteventura ferry) is 1.5km.
