Guests hardly need to leave this resort there are so many excellent facilities. The beautiful estate slopes down to the beach on the fashionable Costa Adeje, almost halfway between the little town of Adeje and lively Playa de las Americas. It consists of 20 houses and, although large, retains a peaceful atmosphere.

For those requiring the highest standards and more privacy, the Casas Ducales (Manor Houses) offer butler service, a separate lounge, breakfast room and reception. A fountain-filled patio is at the centre of this replica of a Canarian village - and staff wear local costume. It is ringed by restaurants, bars and there is a reading room. Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque Resort behind this complex a tier of swimming pools leads gently down through the gardens to the beach. It's a pleasant 20-minute or so walk along the new promenade to the marina of Puerto Colón at the heart of the resort.
