The welcoming Meliá Tamarindos has a magical atmosphere. It is ideally located at the quieter end of San Agustín and to the east of larger Playa del Inglès in the sunny south. Its interiors and grounds are delightful and the many facilities appeal both to families and those without children.

The swimming pools form a lagoon and are set in sub-tropical gardens that lead to the beach. A health and fitness centre is located in the gardens. The Roque Nublo restaurant offers an appetising buffet and cooks local, Italian - even Chinese - dishes to order. Adjacent is the intimate à la carte Garoé with an idyllic garden terrace. The informal pool-side Tara restaurant is popular for lunch. A harpist may entertain while you sip a flute of Cava at breakfast, a pianist plays for you during dinner, and (winter only) there is a dinner-show in the adjacent casino.
