The exclusive Penha Longa Hotel & Golf Resort enjoys a tranquil setting, with a championship golf course and many other excellent facilities.

The estate, which comprises over 500 acres, stands in the foothills of the Sintra Mountains, designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO. One of Europe’s most romantic and luxurious hotels; it overlooks the 18-hole Atlántico championship golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., and the 9-hole Monastery executive course.

There are three restaurants - the Midori opens for dinner and specialises in Japanese cuisine, the Jardím Primavera offers buffets for breakfast and lunch and à la carte for dinner, and the Clubhouse serves Portuguese food at lunchtime.

There is a lovely outdoor swimming pool and a health club with indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna and massage. Access to Estoril and Cascais is easy, whilst Lisbon is reached by a drive along the Tagus estuary or, more quickly, by motorway.
