One of the first hotels to be built in the area, the Riu Grand Palace Maspalomas Oasis occupies an exceptional setting. It is in the premier position - very close to the beach and standing in the middle of a huge natural oasis with some 2,000 palm trees - near Gran Canaria’s famous sand dunes. The established exotic gardens provide plenty of space for sunloungers.

 An older hotel, it has a devoted clientele who return again and again, no doubt because it offers traditional hospitality, personal service and attention to detail. The hotel's elegant public rooms, bedrooms and suites were extensively refurbished in 2001. Three delightful restaurants offer regional and international cuisines - it is best to book the popular à la carte restaurant. There is daytime entertainment for adults and children and live music is presented at the hotel several times a week. Playa del Inglés is 5 km.
