The Caleta is a long-established hotel in a spectacular location above a sandy public beach bordered by several pubs and restaurants.
It overlooks the former Genoese fishing village of Catalan Bay on the eastern side of the Rock and has private access to the beach. A firm favourite with British visitors, guests can take afternoon tea or snacks in the relaxed atmosphere of the Catalan Lounge or its terrace or sit in the small leafy English garden in summer.
Nuno’s à la carte restaurant offers the best Italian cuisine and is popular with the locals too. The gymnasium’s facilities are available free of charge during set hours. The little bay has a simple charm and Gibraltar's Main Street with its shops, restaurants, cafés and bars is just a short taxi or bus ride away.
